"Putting a “human
face” on policy issues"
CSO, Inc. takes a “grassroots” approach to
addressing issues such as
accessibility, opportunity and equity for persons with
disabilities. The Parent,
Advocate and
Support Group (PASG)
convenes quarterly to discuss disability issues,
legislation, long term care planning, access to existing
services and resources, etc. Participants benefit from
shared experiences and plan actions to expand local service
capacity. CSO, Inc.’s bi-monthly newsletter keeps consumers
involved; while its Resource Directory and Guide of Chicago
Services is available in print and on its website:
www.cso1.org to keep the
public informed about disability services and resources.
